Hello everyone my name is Amanda, and we've just decided to have our wedding in Mexico at Barcelo.  All of the posts here have been very informative and encouraging. We have not quite decided on a date yet but it should be around Labor Dayish 2005. We've decided to go with the "Sea Breeze" package, but I have a couple of questions regarding the restaurant options that I'm hoping you all can help me out with. I really like the idea of being by the beach for our dinner, but not quite on the beach as in the under the stars package. Do you know if any one has had their dinner at Captain Morgans instead of the other indoor restaurant options? Would this even be a nice reception site considering it is a club? I have also heard of some having their reception at Rancho Grande, how would that be? Which would be nicer and more romantic? Also, I was a little disapointed when I saw a copy of the words from a ceremony performed by one of the judges, I would like some kind of spiritual element incorporated into the ceremony. Does any one know if all the ceremonies are like this, and is it possible to have a minister perform the ceremony instead of a JP? Does anyone know how to go about finding a minister in the area to perform the ceremony.  Sorry so many questions! Thanks,
Amanda

Amanda I believe you have to have a "civil" ceremony in order for it to be legal, but something to check into.  Check with the current wedding coordinator.

Welcome Amanda!  As for the religious ceremony, it is not considered legally binding, so you would have to have another ceremony if you wanted to be legally married.

How many people are you expecting to have with you?  I think they only allow groups of 10 or less to eat in the restaurants, anything over you are in a banquet room.
