There are two theatres onsite. The Palenque Theatre is located in the centre of Tropical/Colonial and the Kukulcan Theatre is located at the centre of Beach/Caribe. Guests from any part of the resort can attend the shows in either theatre.

Layout

The theatres are huge, open on the sides but covered. The stage is at the front and the seating has tables for drinks and comfortable chairs. There are also bars at the back of the theatre. The Palenque is larger and has projectors that show a big-screen version of the performance on the sides for better viewing.

Performers

There is a professional orchestra, professional singers and dancers. The performers are not activities staff that perform at night, they are full time performers. Sometimes you can catch them rehearsing in the theatres during the day.

Hours

The pre-show starts at about 9:00 p.m. with the orchestra, the singers at 9:30 p.m. and the show is at 10:00 p.m.

Schedule

The shows can rotate but there are posters around the resort advertising which show is on for that night and in which theatre. In low season, sometimes movies are shown in one theatre and the show in the other. There is also a schedule of all shows for the week in the lobbies and in your room. The schedule changes often so watch for the posters.
