Specialty restaurants

There are six specialty restaurants on the resort. Each offers a particular cuisine. The decor and wait staff attire reflect that culture, as do the drinks and food.

Booking specialty dinners

You will receive your dinner vouchers when you check in. You must book your specialty dinners in person at guest services located in each lobby. I highly recommend you book them the moment you check in to ensure you get all the restaurants you want at a time that is convenient for you. Take a moment to check the schedule of buffet theme night to make sure you don't miss your favourite.

Guests at  Beach/Caribe

  • have access to El Agave (Mexican) and Don Quijote (Spanish) specialty restaurants
  • can pay an upgrade charge of $15/person/meal to gain access to the 4 specialty restaurants
  • guests receive 2 specialty restaurant vouchers per week's stay
  • less than 7 nights, 1 voucher

Guests at Tropical/Colonial

  • have access to Mare Nostrum (Seafood), Bali-Hai (Oriental), Capri (Italian), Santa Fe (steakhouse) located at Tropical/Colonial as well as El Agave (Mexican) and Don Quijote (Spanish) located at Beach/Caribe
  • guests receive 4 specialty restaurant vouchers per week's stay
  • for 4-6 nights, you receive 2 vouchers and for 2-3 nights, 1 voucher

Dress

  • Men must wear close toed shoes (no sandals are allowed), collared shirt and long pants.
  • Women wear casual dress with dressy sandals.
  • For children over the age of ten, the dress code is the same as for adults.

Some people have been able to get away with less but be aware that the dress code is enforced and you risk being turned away if you show up for your reservation wearing shorts, open toed shoes (men), flip flops, non collared shirts, ripped or torn jeans, bathing suits etc.

Hours

The restaurants are only open for dinner:

  • 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Special occasions

If you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary or any other event, let the guest services know when you're making the reservation or let the waiter know when you sit down for your meal. They will do something special for you at no extra charge.
